Yuri proves growth as actress through intense stage performance

Girls' Generation's Yuri shone purely as an actress, taking on the challenge of stage acting and demonstrating noticeable growth through her passionate performance up until the final show.

In the psychological thriller play ‘The Wasp,’ Yuri portrayed Carla, a pregnant woman expecting her fifth child while enduring a harsh life trapped in a cycle of poverty. Through this role, she revealed a new side of herself not previously seen in her filmography.

Bringing the character’s complex emotional layers to life on stage rather than through a camera, she heightened the dramatic immersion of the production. Given the nature of ‘The Wasp,’ which is driven by just two characters, Yuri’s presence dominated the audience. Even amid rough dialogue and a tense atmosphere, her charisma and dedication to acting added depth and intensity to the play.
