aespa’s Winter has graced the cover of fashion magazine ELLE’s special project, ELLE D Edition.

The newly released September D Edition cover and pictorial are part of a collaborative project between Winter and Polo Ralph Lauren. On set, Winter impressed staff with her professional and passionate attitude, flawlessly pulling off a lovely and elegant concept.

Following the photoshoot, Winter sat down for an interview. aespa recently delivered an even more intense sound, described as going beyond their signature “metallic” edge to a “petroleum-like” vibe, with their first single album track “Dirty Work.” When asked about her first impression of the song, Winter said it felt “like tanning under a blazing sun—hot and sticky,” adding that it reminded her of the film Mad Max: Fury Road.

As aespa prepares for their third world tour, ‘2025 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : aeXIS LINE,’ Winter shared what she is most looking forward to. “I’m really excited because the concert will include new songs,” she said. “After gaining so much experience through our first two world tours, I think a more grown and seasoned aespa will be able to show an even higher-level performance.”

When asked whether her strong and resilient mindset as a performer comes naturally, Winter replied, “I tried to become strong a little faster than others. I realized that I’m the only one who can truly protect myself.”

She was also asked what ability she would choose if she could have just one. Winter answered, “The ability to time travel,” explaining, “If I could travel across time and space, I’d go back to the past. Not because I want to change anything or because I regret it, but because I’d like to fill those days with even more happiness and joy. Since time travel isn’t possible, I cherish the present even more.”

ELLE D Edition, which features Winter as its cover star, is ELLE’s digital project launched to target web and social media audiences.

Winter’s digital cover, moving cover, fashion film, and video interview will be released exclusively through ELLE’s official website and social media channels. The full pictorial and in-depth interview will also be featured in ELLE’s September issue.
