New 'Made on iPad' ad showcases how artists make NHL goalie masks

by · AppleInsider

Artists use the iPad to create great things every day, and a new video shared by Apple shows how it's left its mark on the NHL.

On Friday, the Apple Canada YouTube channel shared a short video showing off how NHL mask artists use the iPad Pad, Apple Pencil Pro, and apps like Procreate to design bespoke gear for athletes.

"After brainstorming with goalies, mask artists used iPad Pro and Apple Pencil Pro to create the personalized artwork that was then hand-painted on their masks," reads the video's description.

While not as heavily promoted as Apple's famous "Shot on iPhone" campaigns, Apple does occasionally showcase works made with its flagship tablet. In August 2021, Apple shared a clip of Olivia Rodrigo's music video "brutal," touting the iPad's role in its creation.

And in its May "Let Loose" event, Apple credited the iPad as being one of the devices it used to edit the footage.
