Megastar Chiranjeevi receives Guinness World Record for being the 'most prolific star in Indian Film Industry', SS Rajamouli and more celebs react

Chiranjeevi - the name needs no introduction. The Indian actor who has majorly worked in Telugu cinema has been entertaining the masses for decades. He has some of the biggest films like Tagore, Indra, Stalin, Godfather and more in his filmography. Chiranjeevi is loved and adored by millions of his fans who find him to be a true entertainer. Well, all the hardwork has truly paid off. He has now received the Guinness World Record for being the Most Prolific star in Indian cinema in actor/dancer category.

On September 22, Chiranjeevi was honoured by Guinness World Records for his contribution to cinema. An event was held in Hyderabad wherein Aamir Khan and Guinness World Records adjudicator Richard Stenning handed over the certificate to Chiranjeevi. As per reports in entertainment news, September 22 was also the day when Chiranjeevi made his debut in 1978, thus making it extra special.

At the event, Chiranjeevi delivered a speech and called it an unforgettable moment. He shared that he never thought that he would get recognition from Guinness World Records and he feels honoured to receive it for his dancing. "It is dancing that truly made me a star and brought me so many rewards throughout my career," Chiranjeevi said. He also thanked directors, producers, choreographers and everyone else who helped him showcase his dance performances in films. As the news and pictures from the event made it to social media, many celebrities extended their congratulations to Chiranjeevi. SS Rajamouli was amazed to know that Chiranjeevi has performed more than 24,000 dance moves in his career. Chiranjeevi's daughter-in-law, Upasana Kamineni also penned a sweet note to celebrate the moment. Aamir Khan at the event called Chiranjeevi his elder brother. Chandrababu Naidu too made a post.

Apart from the Guinness World Record, Chiranjeevi also got honoured with Padma Vibhushan this year. He received Padma Bhushan in 2006.
