In 1998, Kajol won the Best Performance in Negative Role Award for her film Gupt at Filmfare Awards. She showed up on stage dressed in a pastel pink satin dress with chudidaar and dupatta. Her hair were tied in a ponytail, oiled up. She barely had any makeup on with just a dash of lipstick. The award was presented by Fardeen Khan and his father. Kajol walked up to the stage and greeted Fardeen Khan and took the award. She smiled her brightest and looked simple yet elegant, making headlines in entertainment news.
