Ananya Panday's 2024 has been quite exciting, as the actress received praise for her performance in Call Me Bae. It was her debut series, which released this month and fans loved the way she portrayed Bella, aka Bae. Recently, Ananya was a part of IIFA 2024's performers list and she rocked the dance floor. The actress is all geared up for her next release, a movie titled CTRL. The trailer for the same was released a few days ago.

In a recent interview, Ananya Panday was asked about her work and her opinions on the item song. The Dream Girl 2 star was asked how several people slammed item songs like Katrina Kaif's Sheila Ki Jawani and Malaika Arora's Munni Badmaan. So is she open to doing the same? About her thoughts on item songs, Ananya said that our country is quite impressionable and that's exactly how she feels about herself. Panday believes that as actors, it is their responsibility to be aware of what they are portraying on screen. However, she said that eventually, it's entertaining.

Further in this entertainment news, about her thoughts on doing an item song, Ananya Panday said that there are ways one can perform an item song. The actress revealed the conditions under which she should do the same. "You know, if I feel like the girl is being empowered through the song, if she has control, if she’s not being overtly sexualised, if she’s not being respected, then I wouldn’t do it. It has to be seen from the other perspective, where maybe the girl is in control. There are lots of ways where you can play around with things. Everything doesn’t have to be done in the way that it’s been done since so many years."

The Call Me Bae star explained what she meant when she said that things should be changed around while doing an item song. The actress believes that the song should look sexy instead of being sexualised or objectified. Panday stated that in the song, the control should be in the girl's hands instead of the man.
