Actor who once challenged Salman Khan, SRK and others

He even had rejected a film lead by Shah Rukh Khan because he didn't want to be the second lead in the movie. Yes, we are talking about Chandrachur Singh. He was a history professor in the same school he went to. He also taught music at Vasant Valley School. However, he always wanted to be an actor.

One day, he came to know that Amitabh Bachchan is looking for fresh faces to cast in his production ABCL Corp Ltd. He convinced his father and came to Mumbai. He went for the auditions and was selected. He gave his debut film, Tere Mere Sapne in 1996. Arshad Warsi, Simran, and Priya Gill also made their debut with this film.

This film was not so good but Chandrachur Singh won hearts with his performance. He further did films like Maachis, Daag-The Fire, Sham Ghansham, and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa. He also did Josh with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, his life took a wrong turn.

Chandrachur Singh had an accident while riding a jet ski in Goa in 2000. He dislocated his shoulder, and he was advised to complete bed rest. This setback turned out to be a bad thing for his career. He then tried to come back in 2012 but it did not work.

But recently, he ruled the OTT space with Sushmita Sen's web series, Aarya in 2020 and Akshay Kumar's Cuttputli in 2022.
