by Pooja Darade · BollywoodLife.comIt has been over a month since Pushpa 2: The Rule was released in theatres. Directed by Sukumar, the film stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. It is a sequel to their 2021 superhit film Pushpa: The Rise. The sequel received mixed reviews but the response from the audience has been enormous. Delay in release
Recently, the makers announced Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded. The film was going to release in theatres with 20 minutes of additional footage. The Reloaded version was going to release in theatres this Friday, January 11. However, there's a slight delay in the release of the same. Allu Arjun fans will have to wait for a few days more to get a glimpse of the extra 20 minutes the team has added.
The news of Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded's delay in release was confirmed by the team itself. On January 8, the makers took to their social media pages to reveal that due to technical issues, the delay has happened. The additional footage will not be added to the prints of Allu Arjun's film from January 17, 2024. The post reads, "Due to technical delays in processing the content, the reloaded version of Pushpa 2: The Rule is delayed. It will now screen in theatres from 17th January instead of 11th January as planned earlier. Happy Sankranthi, everyone! The extended version will be worth the wait with additional whistle-worthy moments. The wildfire gets more fiery."
Meanwhile, at the box office, Pushpa 2 is unstoppable. It has turned out to be the biggest film of 2024, with over Rs 1800 crore worldwide box office. It looks like it will soon cross the record of Aamir Khan's Dangal, which is Rs 200 crore worldwide.
