Jayam Ravi-Aarti divorce: Ponniyin Selvan actor files police complaint against ex-wife as he gets barred from entering the house?

Jayam Ravi announced his separation from wife Aarti over a social media post. Reportedly, he had to seek help of police to get his belongings from his home.

Jayam Ravi announced his divorce from his wife Aarti a few weeks ago. He took to his social media accounts to share an announcement sharing the news of his separation with his fans. He penned a lengthy note stating that after much thought he has decided to move forward with the dissolution of his marriage. He added that it was a mutual decision and that the couple would request privacy. However, Aarti made some shocking claims stating that she wasn't aware of the announcement. Now, the events have taken a shocking turn as Jayam Ravi has reportedly filed a police complaint against Aarti.

As per a report in Etimes, Jayam Ravi has filed a complaint against Aarti with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Adyar. Reportedly, his wife Aarti barred him from entering their house and the Ponniyin Selvan actor had to sought help of the police to recover his belongings. When interrogated, Aarti refused to acknowledge that she has barred him from entering the house and rather said that Jayam Ravi isn't coming home. The police then reportedly asked to couple to sort of the differences and clash mutually. Jayam Ravi has made any comment on this yet. The report also states that the actor connected with Meta in order to regain his Instagram account as Aarti refused to share the credentials as she was the one handling his account.

Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Jayam Ravi made it clear that he wants a divorce from Aarti with whom he had been married for more than 15 years. He was quoted saying, "I want a divorce. If Aarti wanted to reconcile as she states, why has she not reached out to me? Why has she not responded to the two legal notices I sent?" He also spoke about the rumours suggesting that he has found love in with spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis. Over this, he stated that why should a third person be dragged in the divorce? It reflects badly on him and the families involved.
