The film will be released in cinemas on December 25 and is backed by Atlee. Pushpa 2: The Rule has earned over Rs 1600 crore globally and is the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. The film is also the third highest-grossing Indian film after Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal. The makers will soon start work on Pushpa 3: The Rampage.

According to the early reports from the first two shows on Sunday, Pushpa 2: The film has earned Rs 22.7 crore and its Telugu occupancy is at 46.2 % and the occupancy for the Hindi version is around 45.17 %.

The entire team of Pushpa 2 has been in trouble after the death of a woman due to a stampede that occurred in a Hyderabad theatre during the premiere show.
