Denis Villeneuve's Dune movies are considered the best ones in recent times. The first film was released in 2021 and the sequel was released earlier this year. Based on Frank Herbert's novel of the same name, it stars Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in the leading roles. A lot of directors and actors are also big fans of the franchise. However, Quentin Tarantino has no interest in watching the movies.

Quention Tarantino on new Dune Movies

During a podcast, Quentin Tarantino shared his reasons for having no interest in watching the new Dune movies. The filmmaker told Bret Easton Ellis on his podcast that he has seen David Lynch's Dune several times. He doesn't need to see the story and the spice worm again. He doesn't want to watch a movie that has the word 'spice'' used dramatically.

Further in this entertainment news, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director said, "It’s one after another of this remake, and that remake. People ask, 'have you seen Dune?' 'Have you seen Ripley?' 'Have you seen Shogun?' And I’m like, 'no, no, no, no.' There’s six or seven Ripley books; if you do one again, why are you doing the same one that they’ve done twice already?"

About Ripley, Tarantino added that he has seen the story twice before and isn't a fan of the vision. So he is not interested in seeing the new version. "If you did another story, that would be interesting enough to give it a shot anyway."

Meanwhile, Dune and Dune 2 have received tremendous love from the critics and the audience. Fans are eagerly waiting for the third part. The third movie is titled Dune Messiah and Denis Villeneuve revealed earlier that it will be his last movie from the franchise, starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya.
