The Ghajini movie has been a massive hit in both Tamil and Hindi. The Tamil film stars Suriya in the lead role, whereas its Hindi remake features Aamir Khan. Both movies are tremendously loved for their emotional and powerful storytelling, filled with action-packed sequences. What if we tell you that the sequel is on the cards soon? Yes, you read it right!

Suriya and Aamir Khan to return in Ghajini 2?

As per the reports, Ghajini 2 is in the making. The news was confirmed by actor Suriya, who stated that after a long time, producer Allu Aravind approached him with the sequel's idea. When asked if it's possible, the actor told Aravind that they can consider it. The talks are currently going on, Suriya told Pinkvilla.

Further in this entertainment news, a source told the portal that as pan-India films have become a thing, remakes are not having the same power. While Suriya and Aamir Khan are excited to work in the sequel, they don't want the remake label attached to their film. "They are also concerned that releasing one version before the other could take away from the novelty factor, and they have expressed these concerns to the producers. After hearing both actors out, Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena proposed a solution: shoot the two versions of Ghajini 2 simultaneously and release them on the same day," revealed the source.

The source further added that making Ghajini 2, a sequel to such a beloved movie, is a big responsibility. The movies turned out to be a game-changer for both Aamir Khan and Suriya. Hence, they want the story to feel organic and not something made for financial gain. "They both like the concept but are awaiting narrations at various stages of development. The script is currently being worked on, and we should have a clearer idea of the progress by mid-2025," the report further mentioned.
