The reason behind Shailesh Lodha quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular shows on the television screens. The actors have now become a household name and fans are in love with the show. Actor Shailesh Lodha who played the role of Taarak Mehta in the show bid adieu and his exit left fans upset. In an interview with a Youtube channel, Shailesh revealed that his fight with the makers was never about money and it was always about his self-respect.

Shailesh revealed that Taarak producer Asit Kumarr Modi spoke to him in an uncultured manner which pushed him to take a call to leave the show. He also revealed that the makers tried to arm-twist the matter and decided to leave the show then. Shailesh said that it was a matter of self-respect. He said that the makers of Good Night India had invited him as a special guest on one episode and he as the poet went to attend it.

He said that he then got a call from the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah asking him how he went on the show. Shailesh said that he is a poet and as a celebrity guest went there and not as the character that he plays in the show. Shailesh said that Asit spoke to him in a derogatory tone, which he could not tolerate. He said, 'Mujhe bardaasht nahi hua, this was not the first time. Ek baar Aur bhi daant ho chuki thi hamari set par.' Asit told Shailesh, 'Yahan par sab kaam karne waale mere naukar hai'.

Recently, Palak Sindhwani, who played Sonu on the show, decided to quit the show. The makers served a legal notice to the actress for breach of contract. The actress also revealed that the makers allegedly mentally harassed her and damaged her reputation. The makers now roped in Khushi Mali who will play the role of Sonu in the show.
