The cop action thriller is directed by Rohit Shetty and features Arjun as the main villain. It also stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff. After almost 10 years, fans got to see Arjun and Ranveer together in the movie. The duo earlier featured in the 2014 action film Gunday, which also stars Priyanka Chopra.

The movie Gunday received mixed reviews and performed decently at the box office. The audience enjoyed Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor's camaraderie and their chemistry with Priyanka Chopra. In an interview, the actor revealed how the actress was out of their league for the movie.
While talking to Pinkvilla, Arjun Kapoor talked about working with Ranveer Singh in the Ali Abbas Zafar film and praised the way it was shot and how they were presented. Kapoor stated how the film gave people a chance to see that he and Ranveer have terrific chemistry. Further in this entertainment news, he also spoke about Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan being part of the film.
About Priyanka, Arjun Kapoor said how she was out of their league. "Priyanka Chopra was a big star... she still is, but what I mean is she was out of our league, just like she is in the film in that sense, and then she did the film," said the Singham Again star. Abour Irrfan, Arjun shared how delighted he was to work in the film with the late actor. "Ali mounted it; Adi sir (Aditya Chopra) believed that was the way to really connect with the masses," Kapoor said.
The actor believes that if Gunday had released today, it would've been a bigger hit. The Ishaqzaade star said that at that time, the movies were going through a multiplex era and there was a distance from the mass and mainstream material. "Gunday is exactly what today is being celebrated; it’s high octane; it’s larger than life," shared Arjun.
