Chunky Panday on how Ajay Devgn, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan's debut affected his career, 'I got lost'

During the 80s and early 90s, Chunky Panday was a rising star. In the year 1987, he made his debut with the movie Aag Hi Aag, which was a hit. Post that, the actor appeared in several movies. However, the 1990s was also the time when several other actors made their debut. According to Panday, their debut and stardom affected his career back then.

In a new interview, Chunky Panday got candid about his early days and how his career drastrically changed. The actor talked about his failure, saying he remembers going to the office of a famous producer-director who makes romantic films. At that time, Chunky was wearing a tank top as he was there after my workout. The producer told the actor that they are not making Target and should go to Shubhash's office. Panday recalled how he was thrown out of offices and got his first film in the toilet of a 5-star office after trying for five years.

Further in this entertainment news, Chunky Panday honestly shared how his career faded out when actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and others made their debuts. The Housefull star said that he got lost. "I came when the galaxy was exploding—1986 was Govinda, I came in 87, the next year was Aamir, Salman came in 1989 and Ajay was in 1990. So, they just kept coming—these big superstars. I did get lost, and I enjoyed my honeymoon for exactly a year. That whole year of 1988 was fantastic for me, and then everything just faded out."

Chunky Panday said that too many people came into the film industry at that time, but there's no one else to blame but himself. Panday stated that he was that young blood who wanted to keep working and would take up any work, just trying to make money. "Then, you can’t chart your career very well because your priorities become very different," said the actor.
