Salman Khan starrer Sikandar was released in theatres on March 30, 2025. The action thriller received mixed reviews from the critics and the viewers. It was the most awaited film of Salman Khan because he made a comeback to the big screen with an Eid release after 2 years. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Randeep Hooda and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles.

On its opening day, Sikandar made a collection of approximately Rs 26 crore in India. On Eid (March 31), the Salman Khan-starrer witnessed a slight increase in its box office revenue. On its first Monday of release, which was day 2 since its release, the film earned Rs 29 crore for all languages.

In two days, the mass actioner has been successful at earning Rs 55 crore at the box office. For the unversed, the movie was released in 5,500 screens in India. The worldwide collection of the movie ranges between 10-15 crore; with this, it has taken the overall collection over Rs 60 crore so far. Hence, in comparison to the massive release which the film featured, its BO numbers haven't been as impressive. However, Sikandar has managed to surpass Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava's collection of the first Monday.

Vicky's historical period drama had earned Rs 24 crore on its first Monday. With Salman's film reaching Rs 55 crore on its first Monday, it has emerged as the only 2025 film with the highest first Monday in Bollywood. However, Salman's films in the past have earned better revenue than his latest Eid release.

When the movie had hit theatres, it didn’t receive a warm and positive response on social media. Many Salman Khan fans expressed disappointment as the film offered weak storyline, unimpressive acting, and outdated CGI. Nonetheless, his fans are waiting to see how the film fares in the coming days.

After Sikandar, Salman will be next seen in Kick 2, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is a sequel to his 2014 film Kick, and the superstar returns as the beloved character 'Devil' in the action thriller.
