Popular Marathi star Atul Parchure passed away at the age of 57. His death news left all his fans shocked.

Popular television and film star Atul Parchure died at the age of 57 on October 14. The actor breathed his last and this piece of news came as a shock for many. The actor was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and his demise has left everyone shell-shocked. The veteran actor played various characters in The Kapil Sharma Show. He mainly worked in films and played roles like Vasu Chi Sasu, Priyatama, and Tarun Turk Mhatare Arka . He was also seen in Navra Mazha Navsacha, Salaam-E-Ishq, Partner, All the Best: Fun Begins, Khatta Meetha, Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap, and Brave Heart. He received several awards for his exceptiona performamces in Marathi films.

He was last seen in Pappu's Path wherein he played the role of a Genie. He was last seen in Alibaba Aani Chalishitale Chor, a Marathi film wherein he played the role of a doctor. He starred in films with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn. He also played important roles in dramas like Kapuskondaya Story, Gela Madhav Kuni Kade, Tarun Turk Mhatare Aark, Tuzhum Hai Tujpashi, Natigoti, Vishka and Valli, Tilak and Agarkar.

He made his mark in all the three genres of drama, cinema and serials. Last year, in an interview with a YouTube channel, as reported by India Today, the doctors who were treating Atul found a 5 cm tumour in his liver last year. 'I had completed 25 years of my wedding. I was fine when we went to Australia and New Zealand. But after a few days, I wasn’t able to eat anything. I felt nauseous, and knew something was wrong. My brother later gave me some medicine but they didn’t help me. After visiting many doctors, I was asked to get ultrasonography done. When the doctor did it, I saw fear in his eyes and I felt there was something wrong. I was told I have a tumor about 5 centimeters long in my liver and that it is cancerous. I asked him whether I would recover or not, and he said, ‘Yes, you will', said Atul.
