New Photos Show More Than 100 Dogs Crammed into Kennels at Linda Blair’s Small California Property, and Neighbors Could Hear Them from Far Away

Photos from inside the property show large dogs stacked into kennels with barely any room to move, and some cages appear to have no water in them at all. Blair says the animals are well cared for.

Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control, along with Regional Planning, executed a search warrant at “The Exorcist” star Linda Blair’s Southern California property on Friday, July 31, over a suspected kennel operation with more than 100 dogs on site. Subsequent reports put the number as high as 200. No dogs were removed, and officials said Blair, 67, was fully cooperative.

The county says the kennel’s permits expired in 2023, and that multiple attempts by both agencies to contact the owner had gone unanswered before the warrant was issued. Officials said the inspection was meant to verify compliance with county codes and evaluate the welfare of the animals and anyone living or working on the property.

New photos from the property show large dogs of varying breeds packed tightly into kennels, with little sign of basic necessities like water.

Blair, who founded the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation in 2003 to rescue abused and abandoned animals, posted a video the same day telling followers she was fine. “I am fine, the animals are fine, and we just have some paperwork that has to be dealt with, and that’s all this was all about,” she said, adding that she didn’t know why mail wasn’t used more often to notify someone.

In the written caption she said the animals were “good in lieu of our surprise visit in 105° heat” and that she’s looking to move so she can “be more educational and help more animals.”
