Dua Lipa Is Still Using the Infamous Paris, Britney and Lindsay’s ‘Holy Trinity’ Paparazzi Photo as Her Phone Case

Dua Lipa was spotted in New York City after flying back from Rome. She stopped at Happier Grocery on Canal Street, then headed to a recording studio where these photos were taken.
Lipa was wearing all white, staying in the bridal theme, with Christian Louboutin heels. She had wired headphones in instead of the new AirPods, and the latest orange iPhone in hand.
And, of course, she was still carrying her phone case with the 2006 “Holy Trinity” paparazzi shot on the back.
The image on her phone case was taken on November 26, 2006, as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears tried to leave a friend’s party at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Lindsay Lohan, in the middle of a media-stoked feud with Paris, climbed into the car anyway as paparazzi swarmed the vehicle. Paris in the driver’s seat, Lindsay in the passenger seat, Britney squeezed between them. The flashes were so intense Paris later said she could barely see to drive.
Shot by Bauer-Griffin, it became the defining frame of peak-2000s tabloid culture: three of the most photographed women in the world in one car on one night. Paris later christened it “the Holy Trinity” and reposts it on anniversaries, calling it “the moment that defined an era.”
Fans first clocked Dua’s case in New York in April. She was photographed with it first in Rome June during her honeymoon with Callum Turner, and now again this week back in New York. Same case, same photo, three cities.
Dua has called Britney’s “Toxic” one of the greatest pop songs ever made.
