A 15-year-old girl who accused KJ Biermann of sexual assault told a judge this week that she now lives in “constant fear,” describing a life upended by threats and harassment as his case moves through the courts.

The girl, a classmate of KJ’s, said she has been scapegoated in her community and that people call her disgusting. She told the judge that KJ’s friends have made threats, warning that he will come after her when he is released. She said she fears retaliation against herself or her family, and that she wishes she could be worried about school instead of her safety. She asked the judge to weigh that safety in deciding whether KJ should be offered bail.

The classmate accused him of forcing her to perform oral sex and digitally penetrating her while they were walking to a co-ed sauna at a gym in April. After an investigation, KJ — a defensive lineman who is 6’2 and weighs 250 pounds — was arrested in August. He faces 7 felony counts, including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16, and false imprisonment. His family has denied the allegations.

Prosecutors also made new allegations Friday that videos on Biermann’s phone showed him having sex with a relative under 12. They also revealed he’d previously been charged in juvenile court with sexual battery involving a victim under 16, a case that hadn’t been public before the hearing.
