Anne Hathaway says the private book she’d write would be a pelvic floor health guide “like a Bible” for women, and her Verity co-star Dakota Johnson told her she wants to read it. Asked what private manuscript she’d write, Hathaway skipped the usual deflection and landed on pelvic floor health, saying she wished she’d had the information when she was younger.

“I’ve learned so much throughout my life and there’s so much information that was not available to me when I was a young woman,” the 43-year-old said in Fandango’s Big Ticket interview for her new thriller Verity. She said discovering that information as she got older had improved her life, energy and strength.

She said she’d want to interview every expert she could find and “write like a Bible that would actually really help women.” Dakota Johnson, her Verity co-star, jumped in: “Do that. I want to read that.”

The line itself was a hypothetical, an answer to a press-tour game rather than an actual book she’s announced, but it struck a nerve: the Female Quotient recirculated the clip with the caption “Sign us up for preorders.”

Separately, Hathaway discussed her work with trainer Monique Eastwood in a 2025 interview with The Independent, saying it “has changed my life.” Hathaway, who’s pregnant with her third child, has trained with Eastwood since 2022.
