Haley Thogmartin Is Rooting for Rick Devens to Win Big Brother’s $750,000, Calling His the Best Personal Game She Saw

Haley Thogmartin, 29, was knocked out of Big Brother 28 after the show swapped its usual Head of Household and Power of Veto competitions for a run of medieval-themed challenges, where the last winner picked who left. Dee Valladares won the first safety comp and saved fellow Survivor alum Rick Devens, pushing Haley and Drew Campbell into the next round. Yash Patel won the final challenge and chose to send her home.
“I would like to have gone out the traditional way,” she told PEOPLE.
The twist wasn’t the part that stung most. “Not being able to say goodbye to some of the people that you were close with in the house was probably the hardest part because I did feel like I had some really strong, good connections with people,” she said.
One of 17 houseguests who entered in July, she admits she struggled all summer to keep her feelings separate from the game, even when her side held power. “I just took a lot of things personally, so, for me, it was definitely a me thing.”
Now she’s pulling for Devens, 42, to win the $750,000. “I think that he has played the best personal game. He has done so well socially…. He’s also not scared to shake things up. I just have a lot of respect for him, so I hope he pulls it out.”
She’s also fine with drag performer Jason De Puy impersonating her after his own eviction, even though she hasn’t seen the act yet. “His drag stuff is amazing, so I give him nothing but praise.”
