Law Roach Now Says He Lied About Zendaya and Tom Holland Getting Married, and the Real Ceremony Hasn’t Happened Yet

Law Roach has a confession: he made it all up. Speaking at the Emmys on Monday, Zendaya‘s longtime stylist walked back months of speculation that she and Tom Holland had secretly tied the knot.

“Well, I actually lied, she wasn’t married,” Roach said. “They actually haven’t had an official ceremony yet. It’s gonna happen after the Dune press tour.”

When pressed on whether he was misleading reporters all over again, Roach doubled down — sort of. “No, the wedding hasn’t happened. Not yet,” he said, before admitting he “could” be lying.

The confusion traces back to March 1, when Roach, 48, first suggested the couple had quietly married. At the July 27 Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, he doubled down, saying they “had a private wedding, and they got away with it” and dismissing reports of a second ceremony as “definitely not true.”

Holland only added fuel to the fire. In a June Esquire interview about fake AI wedding images, he said his grandmother initially thought she hadn’t been invited — then, asked whether he had to reassure other relatives, replied, “No, because they were all there.” Pressed for details, he shut it down: “That’s all you’ll get on that.” He later referred to Zendaya as “my wife” on a July podcast.

The clues kept piling up. Zendaya wore a wedding band to the Oscars in March and again on summer red carpets, and People reported that the couple held a private reception with family and friends in Surrey, England, on Aug. 4.

So which is it? Roach now draws a line between Holland casually calling Zendaya his wife and an actual, official wedding. “I mean, she’s been his ‘wife’ for a really long time now, but it’s not official yet,” he said. He confirmed the AI wedding images were fake and promised he’d be the one styling Zendaya when the real ceremony happens. Dune: Part Three opens Dec. 18.
