The ‘Survivor’ Player Who Lost Their Leg on the Show Is Suing Producers for $100 Million

Stavros Floros says the format of ‘Survivor: Greece’ was built around forcing contestants to spearfish in waters he describes as heavily trafficked by tourist boats near the filming site. He claims there were no safety boats, no protected zones, and no adequate warning markers, despite prior close calls and even a death in the same waters.
A boat propeller took the player’s left leg above the knee while he was spearfishing for food. His leg was lost in the ocean. He says only a “tourniquet applied by a stranger aboard the offending tourist boat kept him alive.”
The injury happened in May 2026 when Stavros Floros spearfished in open water for the Greek version of “Survivor.” Now he’s suing the show’s producers for more than $100 million, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
Floros was flown to a Miami hospital, where he went through multiple surgeries across a 61-day stay.
