Rob and Michele Reiner’s Son Jake Married His Fiancee 8 Months After His Parents Were Murdered

Jake Reiner, 35, wed Maria Gilfillan in a small ceremony in early August, TMZ reported. The couple first appeared together publicly in an October 2025 Instagram post from a friend’s wedding in Las Vegas.

The marriage comes eight months after Jake’s parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele, were killed inside their Brentwood home in the early hours of Dec. 14, 2025.

Jake’s brother Nick, 32, was arrested hours later near the University of Southern California campus and has been held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility ever since. He’s been indicted on two counts of first-degree murder and pleaded not guilty, with a pretrial hearing set for Sept. 15. If convicted as charged, he faces death or life without parole; prosecutors haven’t decided whether to seek the death penalty.

In his first interview since the killings, Jake declined to discuss Nick’s alleged role but spoke about their parents. “My parents had unconditional love for all three of us,” he said of himself, Nick and their sister Romy, 28. “I can tell you they never stopped wanting to help him. They never stopped helping him.”
