Here’s what went down this season on Next Gen NYC: Ariana Biermann sparked a love triangle with Liam Obergfoll and Charlie Zakkour after breaking up with longtime boyfriend Hudson McLeroy, her high school sweetheart of nearly a decade.

Charlie later shocked the group by revealing that Ariana had stopped by his place late at night, which raised questions about her relationship with Liam, and Ariana and Charlie ended up hooking up, though Ariana explained in a confessional that Charlie’s over-the-top behavior, like saying outrageous things and inviting her to sleep over, is just how he is.

Meanwhile, Liam took Ariana on several dates and even introduced her to his family while filming, though he described their relationship to Page Six as “casual”.

Looking back on it all, Ariana has since called Charlie a “really good manipulator” she fell for, while Liam has said he isn’t worried about Charlie, calling him the “bad boy” type that people want to try out but not stay with, and has expressed sympathy for how harshly Ariana was judged online for the situation. By the most recent update, Ariana and Charlie have taken space from each other following their hookup, while she and Liam remain in the picture.
