The account already has the same sarcastic candor as her interviews. She’s setting the terms before the internet gets comfortable.

The verified @jlaw account was nearing 1 million followers within roughly 24 hours of its September 9 launch. By September 10, the 36-year-old Oscar winner had added another warning in her Stories: “Please be mindful that any mean or aggressive comments can negatively affect the baby. It’s me. I’m the baby.”

Even the handle became a joke. Her bio says, “jenniferlawrence was taken,” while the person who owns @jenniferlawrence has a bio that reads, “I’m not famous but I do have a famous name.”
