All four daughters came out with him: Alexia, 26, Isabella, 19, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15, plus his wife Luciana.

Damon walked the London premiere of “The Odyssey” on July 6 with his entire family lined up beside him on the carpet: Luciana, 49, and their daughters Alexia, Isabella, Gia, and Stella. He wore a gray three-piece suit with a light blue shirt and tie; Luciana went with a black gown with piping details and a chic updo, and the girls all turned up in floor-length gowns.

The story of how they got here is the part Damon loves telling. Luciana was a divorced single mom bartending in Miami in 2003 when he ducked behind her bar to hide from fans during the Stuck on You shoot. She promptly put the movie star to work washing glasses. He has called her his “civilian” wife and credited her with keeping their life grounded.

“I jumped into the deep end with Lucy. I mean, Alexia was already four. I was an extra dad,” he told Parade. He adopted Alexia, Luciana’s daughter from her first marriage, when the couple married in 2005, then the two went on to have Isabella, Gia, and Stella. All four daughters’ names are tattooed on his right upper arm, next to a “Lucy.”

Luciana, born in Salta, Argentina, has since taken producer credits on his projects, including “The Rip” earlier this year. The couple has a rule that they’re never apart more than two weeks when he’s working.

Full-family carpets are rare for a reason. Damon guards the girls’ privacy hard, and the last time all six turned out together was for “The Rip” premiere in January. His feelings about how fast it’s all gone came out on the New Heights podcast that same month. “Don’t blink,” he told Jason Kelce, describing brushing 17-year-old Gia’s hair one morning for the first time in eight or nine years after she broke her collarbone.

Damon plays Odysseus in Christopher Nolan’s film, the Greek king whose long journey home from the Trojan War is a fight to get back to his own wife and son.
