Robert Pattinson addressed the filming pause on The Batman Part II at the Oct. 11 London premiere of Primetime, 6 days after DC Studios and Warner Bros. announced that director Matt Reeves was stepping away to handle a family matter.
“We’re pausing for a little bit and then we’re going to figure it all out,” Pattinson said.
The studios described the interruption as temporary in their Oct. 5 statement and backed Reeves: “Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon.”
The sequel to 2022’s The Batman has already faced several delays. Reeves announced he’d finished the script on June 27, 2025. Filming was underway by May 7, 2026, and on July 15 he shared footage of Pattinson as Batman against a snowy backdrop.
The Batman Part II is expected in theaters in February 2028.
