‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Star Mikayla Matthews and Jace Terry Are Still Together a Year After Moving into Separate Homes

Mikayla Matthews and Jace Terry are still married — and, according to the couple, stronger for the year they spent living apart. Season 5 of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” confirms that the pair’s 2025 separation didn’t end their marriage.

Matthews, 26, says the time apart helped her learn to communicate her needs to Terry, 31, as she worked through her health and childhood trauma.

Footage of Matthews moving into an Airbnb was filmed in October 2025. Later in the season, she quips, “I guess I’m the only one that has a husband these days.”

In March, Matthews told Entertainment Tonight that she and Terry were “still together,” calling the relationship a “work in progress.” Terry then turned up in posts from a string of family trips — Disneyland in April, Hawaii in May and Germany in June.

And on Terry’s June 23 birthday, Matthews called him “the best dad” and her “favorite person in the world.”
