Hulu’s reality hit has plenty of life left in it: The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is officially returning for both a sixth and seventh season, with a new 20-episode order confirmed for the franchise.

The renewal comes after a bumpy run for Season 5, which landed on Hulu on Sept. 10 with just five episodes instead of the 10 originally planned. Production had stopped back in March after two Utah police departments opened domestic violence investigations involving star Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen.

Despite the turmoil, the cameras are already rolling again. Layla Taylor has confirmed that she’s begun filming Season 6. Whitney Leavitt, meanwhile, exited the series after Season 5, and Hulu has yet to announce a release date for the next installment.

As for Paul, she pleaded guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault over the 2023 incident. She completed probation in August, at which point a judge reduced the felony charge to a Class A misdemeanor. She has been invited to film the upcoming seasons.
