Danny and Nia Booko won’t return to Bravo’s “The Valley” for Season 4, ending a three-season run that put his drinking at the center of the show.

“We’re incredibly grateful for this experience, but our priority is protecting our peace and our family,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram statement. They added that they’re “fully committed to each other and our beautiful children.”

When the show premiered in 2024, the church-going pair were among its most popular cast members. He’s a voice actor; she’s a former Miss USA turned pageant coach. By Season 2, Danny’s drinking and whether he turned into “Darkside Danny” when overserved became a defining plot point, starting with an off-camera incident where he touched castmate Jasmine Goode’s thigh, said “Get daddy a drink,” and grabbed her partner’s backside.

Season 3 only escalated. Danny admitted he was drunk on camera during a San Diego trip, a Mexico trip and the finale, and he tried to hide his drinking. Lala Kent, who is sober, clashed with him repeatedly, and he mockingly nicknamed her “Miss Triggered.” Nia at one point physically put herself between the two of them.

The rift with Janet Caperna never healed. On the Peacock “After Show,” Janet said, “My patience and tolerance for this man has disappeared.” Asked if he could reconcile with her, Danny said it “would have to start with a grovel, a genuine apology, of actually realizing and seeing and begging profusely to even get anything going.”

The Bookos are the second high-profile departure from the series after Jax Taylor left in summer 2025 following revelations about addiction and violent off-camera outbursts.
