Ariana Madix Is Taking Her Reality TV Experience to Space in Peacock’s Developing Drama ‘Future Housewives’

Ariana Madix is heading to space. The former Vanderpump Rules star is attached to headline and executive produce Future Housewives, a scripted drama in development at Peacock that transplants reality-show rivalries to an asteroid colony.

Set in a place called New Beverly Hills, the series follows wealthy socialites as they navigate engineered beauty treatments and scandals that ripple across planets. The arrival of a young outsider throws their world into chaos.

It’s a premise built squarely on Madix’s own résumé. She spent 11 years on Vanderpump Rules before becoming a breakout fan favorite, and now hosts Love Island USA for Peacock. Future Housewives marks the first scripted project from her new production company, Over Fences.

There’s serious sci-fi pedigree behind the camera, too. Brandon Braga, whose credits include Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, is writing the series. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are executive producing through Fuzzy Door, with Universal Global Television as the studio.

Madix, meanwhile, isn’t slowing down anywhere. She’s taken guest roles on St. Denis Medical and Will Trent, and she’s currently on Broadway in Just in Time, playing Connie Francis.
