Australia's Department of Home Affairs has published the eligibility requirements for its Distinguished Talent visa.

The Distinguished Talent visa is a permanent visa designed for foreign nationals who have achieved international recognition at the highest level in their field.

Who qualifies for Australian Distinguished Talent visa?

According to the official visa guidance, applicants must be outside Australia at the time the visa is granted and must have a record of exceptional achievement in one of four eligible fields:

4. academia and research.
