SILAS, having restarted its London-based collections, is holding a pop-up for its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, “THIS IS HARDCORE.” Starting Saturday, October 10 at 00 GOFFAX in Harajuku, Tokyo, it will tour three stores in sequence, including 11747391 in Osaka and GWDH in Kyoto.

This season’s concept takes its cue from “This Is Hardcore” by the iconic British rock band Pulp. Taro Ray, who has served as the creative director of SILAS since 2025, drew inspiration from memories of seeing the band live at an East London pub in the 2000s and seeing a man wearing SILAS for the first time.

Founded in East London in 1998 by Russell Waterman and Sofia Maria Prantera, SILAS reflects on the subcultural heritage and connections to music and street culture that the brand has built, resulting in a collection that reinterprets designs and details found in early archives for the modern era.

The lineup includes a collaboration T-shirt with the UK-based accessories brand SIX95, as well as signature denim featuring playful stitchwork. Additionally, a collaboration with artist Ferry Gouw launches this season.

In this collaboration, Ferry Gouw and Taro Ray have created a new character, “Trevor,” as an icon to replace “Martin,” the character created by James Jarvis at the time of the brand’s founding. In addition to items featuring these graphics, a large-scale installation, “Big Trev,” a three-dimensional version of Trevor, will also be exhibited at the venue.

Trevor is given an appearance that contrasts with the idyllic roundness and cheerful expression that Martin wore. With an unsmiling, somewhat detached, straight mouth, his silhouette is straight, and his pose has changed to one with hands in his pockets. The character, with a cynical gaze rather than cheerfulness, was created to reflect the current youth scene in London and the atmosphere breathing into that culture.

Also, customers who purchase products at each venue will receive a limited-quantity gift of one of nine types of teaser visual posters linked to the collection’s worldview. A reception to commemorate the opening will also be held at 00 GOFFAX in Harajuku on Friday, October 9, the day before the pop-up opens.
