Acne Studios has opened its latest retail space in New York City‘s Meatpacking District, situated at a key cultural intersection adjacent to the High Line and directly opposite the Whitney Museum of Contemporary Art.
Designed by creative director Jonny Johansson in collaboration with long-time Swedish architecture firm Halleroed, the store features an expansive glass façade that offers seamless transparency into the space. The interiors are arranged in a grid, softened by furnishings that evoke intimacy and domestic comfort. Designer Max Lamb contributed undulating leather sofas and armchairs, complemented by wooden stools and daybeds arranged in casual gathering spots. Rough, flamed granite surfaces recall the district’s industrial past, while soft pink carpets add warmth.
The store also features an Acne Paper library, visible from the street, offering curated art and fashion titles alongside the latest edition of Acne Paper. Now opened, the Meatpacking location joins Acne Studios’ Greene Street flagship and will carry the brand’s SS26 and FW26 collections, spanning ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories.
