Summary

JW Anderson and Wedgwood return with Volume II, extending their Greek-inspired Jasperware collaboration.

Four tonal pairings explore light, shadow and landscape through matte finishes and ribbed surfaces.

Handcrafted in Barlaston, the sets are priced at £300 GBP (approx. $401 USD).

Following the success of their inaugural collaboration – which explored unproduced Lucie Rie designsJW Anderson and Wedgwood have reunited to launch Volume II of their celebrated creative partnership. Continuing a dialogue between antiquity and contemporary design, the new collection takes direct inspiration from fifth-century Greek mugs found in Jonathan Anderson’s personal ceramics collection. Each piece is handcrafted from iconic Jasper stoneware in Barlaston, England, serving as a tangible connection between imaginative modern aesthetics and historic craft expertise.

Volume II presents each mug as the chromatic counterpart to another, pairing darker and lighter Jasper tones to emphasize the sculptural quality of the form. Four combinations make up the release: Mercury Blue/Jasper Blue, referencing Wedgwood’s historic Portland and Jasper colours; Dark Brown/Terracotta, evoking the elemental character of clay; and Marsh Green/Sage Green, informed by the natural landscape surrounding Wedgwood’s Barlaston home. A fourth Shadow Grey/Meadow Green pairing is exclusive to Harrods.

In comparison with the first drop’s color combinations, the new palette feels more grounded in tonal contrast and landscape-derived hues. Each piece is made from matte, biscuit-finished Jasper stoneware, while its ribbed surface is produced through an engine-turning technique adapted by Wedgwood for ceramics in 1763 — giving the otherwise minimal silhouettes a tactile, almost architectural rhythm.

Handcrafted by Wedgwood artisans in Barlaston, England, the mugs continue to connect centuries-old manufacturing techniques with Anderson’s contemporary approach to collecting and reinterpretation. Volume II will be offered through Wedgwood, JW Anderson flagship stores and select retailers worldwide, with each paired retailing at £300 GBP (approx. $401 USD).
