Oakridge Park transformed into an epicenter of luxury, music, and design on Thursday night, October 15, 2026, as it hosted an exclusive VIP event featuring the inaugural debut of The Front Row: Fashion Through the Ages alongside an intimate live performance by John Legend. Co-developed by QuadReal Property Group and Westbank, the multi-use Vancouver destination brought together an enthusiastic crowd in its expansive North Atrium. Shoppers unlocked access to the event through qualifying September purchases or by entering an Instagram photo booth contest, drawing a vibrant mix of local fashion enthusiasts and VIP guests to celebrate the occasion.

Canadian fashion stylist, journalist, and producer Joe Zee served as the evening’s host, bringing dynamic energy and decades of industry expertise to the stage. Dressed by Harry Rosen in a Tom Ford suit and statement glasses, Zee spoke to the audience against large LED screens displaying high-definition visuals of the presentation. He guided guests through the concept behind The Front Row, which highlighted fashion’s rich history by tracing iconic silhouettes across pivotal decades and designer moments. Between introductions, Zee shared his vision for leading The Style Office at Oakridge Park, emphasizing how style serves as a bridge for personal confidence, identity, and community connection.

The runway show offered a stunning retrospective of luxury ready-to-wear pieces, blending past eras with modern high fashion. Models strutted down the central runway in diverse looks, ranging from a sleek, body-skimming long black dress paired with a headwrap to edgy, studded leather ensembles with metallic accents. Guests enjoyed panoramic views from the multi-tiered, amphitheater-style seating that curved through the atrium, framing the runway right alongside luxury storefronts like Chanel.

The undisputed highlight came when Grammy Award-winning artist John Legend took center stage. Wearing a crisp white tuxedo jacket and dark bow tie, Legend delivered a soulful performance from a black grand piano set beneath the atrium’s glowing lights. His vocals echoed across the multi-level venue, captivating spectators gathered on both the main floor and upper balconies near the Time Out Market, seamlessly bridging fashion and entertainment into a memorable night for Vancouver.
