Lamine Yamal and American Eagle Are Bringing a New Generation of Style Beyond the Pitch

The Barcelona football star has joined the American denim brand as global ambassador, bringing his personal style into a collaboration centered around his individuality and creative perspective.

At the center of the partnership is a 29-piece collection that connects American Eagle’s denim heritage with the energy of a generation that moves freely between genres. For American Eagle, the collaboration offers a chance to reach a global youth audience through one of football’s most recognizable emerging figures. For Yamal, it offers another platform for self-expression, allowing his identity to take shape outside the stadium.

Over 48 hours, Yamal’s hometown of Barcelona became the setting for a series of cultural experiences that explored his relationship between personal style, creativity, and community. Under the “Live Your City” concept, the activation moved through Barcelona, transforming familiar urban spaces into places where fans could interact with the collection.

At The Studio, an American Eagle x Lamine Yamal pop-up in Barcelona’s Dreta de l’Eixample neighborhood, local creatives Urees, Otti Hats, Ugo Boulard and Düa Düa led complimentary denim customization workshops, encouraging visitors to reinterpret pieces through their own creative perspectives.

Elsewhere in the city, street artist TV Boy unveiled a 21-meter-tall mural that brings the footballer’s image into Barcelona’s visual landscape. The two-day takeover concluded at the American Eagle Beach Club, located at Moll de la Marina, where fashion and music came together for a celebration along Barcelona’s waterfront. The event brought together hundreds of guests for a beachside experience featuring music, streetwear and a rap battle, with Yamal making a surprise appearance as a judge.

The activation offered different ways for fans to engage with Yamal’s creative identity while making the collection their own. Yamal’s partnership with American Eagle reflects the growing influence of athletes as creative personalities in their own right.
