Lionsgate has officially released the first trailer for Day Drinker, an upcoming nautical thriller directed by Marc Webb. The film stars Johnny Depp, Madelyn Cline, and Penélope Cruz in a twisted tale of crime, mystery, and revenge set on the high seas.

The narrative follows a private-yacht bartender, played by Cline, who encounters an enigmatic grey-haired guest portrayed by Depp. Their chance interaction rapidly devolves into a dangerous entanglement with a ruthless criminal figure played by Cruz. The eerie teaser sets an ominous tone, featuring Depp musing on whether his character’s journey is a tale of revenge, a ghost story, or simply the path of a day drinker. In the teaser, Depp’s character can be heard saying ominously, “My story? Perhaps it’s a tale of revenge. Or perhaps something worse. What if all of this is a ghost story?
