Marvel Studios has returned to theaters with Avengers: Endgame Encore, an extended re-release featuring four minutes of brand-new footage designed to set up Avengers: Doomsday. The theatrical cut introduces four fresh scenes shot directly during the production of the upcoming ensemble film.

The new additions begin with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki visiting Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter following their time-travel reunion, addressing the multiversal instabilities caused by Rogers’ timeline jump. A secondary scene set inside the Time Variance Authority features Mobius, Casey, Ouroboros, and Miss Minutes observing alternate Earths colliding in real time, signaling a widespread collapse of the multiverse.

A post-credits sequence picks up after the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, depicting Bruce Banner attempting to create a Hulk-suppression serum in an underground bunker before being confronted by Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. Finally, a closing tag recontextualizes the original 2019 film’s iconic Iron Man armor-forging audio, revealing Doctor Doom crafting his own metal mask.
