Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Atomic Monster have officially released the new trailer for Other Mommy, an upcoming psychological horror feature directed by Rob Savage (Host, The Boogeyman) and produced by James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring). Adapted from Josh Malerman’s bestselling novel Incidents Around the House, the story follows a young girl who forms a chilling bond with an entity masquerading as her mother.

The film features Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain in a dual performance, portraying both eight-year-old Bela’s protective mother and “Other Mommy,” a terrifying entity manifesting inside the family home. Arabella Olivia Clark plays Bela, while Jay Duplass stars as her father, Daddo. The supporting cast is rounded out by Dichen Lachman (Severance), Arian Moayed (Succession), and screen legend Karen Allen (Indiana Jones).

Written for the screen by WGA Award winner Nathan Elston (Succession), Other Mommy centers on the psychological terror of a child manipulated by a supernatural force seeking access to her heart.
