A Florida bankruptcy court has confirmed the sale of Dame Dash’s life rights to Everlasting Films LLC for $550,000 USD

The acquisition secures exclusive worldwide rights to his narrative alongside 100 hours of video footage memorabilia and an in-development film project

Backup bidder Doug Peters is positioned to purchase the rights for 500,000 USD if the primary sale fails to close

Dame Dash has officially seen his Life Rights auctioned off for $550,000 USD, with all proceeds allocated directly to satisfy his creditors. The conclusion of the auction was formally submitted by bankruptcy trustee Traci K. Stevenson to the overseeing Florida court on Wednesday, October 21.

Following the bidding process that concluded on October 1, Everlasting Films, LLC—which originally submitted an initial $37,000 USD “stalking horse” bid—won the auction to secure exclusive worldwide rights to the Roc-A-Fella co-founder’s life story. Alongside narrative rights, the sale includes “100 hours of video content, photographs, and memorabilia,” as well as “an unreleased, in-development documentary/film project.” In the event that Everlasting Films does not finalize the deal within the required window, backup bidder Doug Peters is queued to claim the rights for $500,000 USD.

The auction stems from a petition filed by Stevenson in August after Dash declared bankruptcy in September 2025, listing $25 million USD in liabilities against $4,350 USD in personal assets. While Dash omitted the asset in his initial filing, Stevenson argued the rights held “evident value in light of the Debtor’s public profile and his historical association with Roc-A-Fella Records and [Jay-Z].” Elaborating on the commercial valuation, Stevenson wrote, “[T]he monetization of an individual’s name, image, and likeness has become a well-established and actively regulated commercial market. That market confirms that rights of this character — a person’s name, image, likeness, persona, and life narrative — are recognized as commercially valuable, transferable property, further supporting the Trustee’s business judgment that the Property is a marketable Estate asset appropriate for sale.”

Dash also faces concurrent legal friction from filmmaker Josh Webber, who filed claims alleging Dash has failed to pay $4,408.20 USD in court-ordered sanctions while improperly asserting ownership over royalty streams for the 2018 film Honor Up.
