Every piece ships with an original drawstring pouch carrying both brands' logos

PORTER and Pas Normal Studios are releasing a collaborative bag collection on October 2, 2026, designed with cyclists squarely in mind. The six-piece lineup pairs the Japanese bagmaker’s attention to craft and materials with the forward-looking design sensibility and detailing that the Copenhagen cycling brand has built its name on.

The collection is structured around two kinds of riding life. On one side sit the everyday pieces: a backpack and a tote bag sized for commutes, errands and days when the bike stays parked. On the other are three pieces built to attach directly to the bicycle, each named for where it rides: a frame bag, a handlebar bag and a saddle bag. A compact coin case rounds out the set, bridging both worlds as a small-item carry that works on or off the saddle.

That on-bike trio is where the partnership feels most purpose-built. Rather than treating cycling as a styling reference, the lineup addresses practical storage across the bike itself, letting riders spread their load between frame, cockpit and seat instead of relying solely on a pack. Each piece also arrives with an original drawstring pouch printed with both brands’ logos, a small extra that doubles as an organizer for tools, cables or spares.

The pairing draws on two distinct lineages. PORTER is the flagship line of Tokyo’s Yoshida & Co., a bagmaker founded in 1935 by Kichizo Yoshida, with the PORTER label itself dating to 1962. Its reputation rests on obsessive in-house construction and durable nylon carry, most famously the TANKER series. The company marked its 90th anniversary in 2026, a milestone it celebrated with a visual book reviewing its past decade of work.

Pas Normal Studios comes at the bike from the opposite direction. Founded in Copenhagen in 2014 by Karl-Oskar Olsen, the label helped push performance cyclingwear toward a cleaner, fashion-literate aesthetic, building a following among riders who wanted kit that looked as considered off the bike as on it. Bringing that sensibility to PORTER’s construction expertise gives the Danish brand a dedicated carry range rooted in one of Japan’s most respected bag workshops.

The release also extends an active collaboration run for PORTER, which teamed with JJJJound on a four-piece range including a backpack earlier in 2026. Where many of those partnerships lean on design-world credibility, this one targets a specific activity, pointing the brand’s craft toward riders.

The Pas Normal Studios x PORTER collection releases October 2 at PORTER stores across Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand, as well as via the Yoshida & Co. official online store.
