Zach Bryan Seeks to Quiet the Noise on New Single ‘This World’s a Giant’
· Rolling StoneJust four months removed from The Great American Bar Scene, Zach Bryan is already back with new music, with the singer unveiling his latest single “This World’s a Giant” on Thursday.
Bryan initially teased the track back in January 2024 on social media, so it’s likely not inspired by his much-public breakup with now-ex Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. Instead, “This World’s a Giant” finds Bryan searching for moments of quiet and solitude amid the bustle of everyday life.
“There’s guitars ringin’ now from the top floor of this house/That I’ve learned to rest my soul inside,” he sings at the onset. “Be still, be quiet, this world’s a giant/That I don’t feel like facing tonight.”
While Bryan has pledged to take a break from social media, the current Rolling Stone cover star did jump on Instagram to hint that another new song, potentially titled” Motorbreath,” would be arriving tomorrow, November 8.

Both tracks arrive amid the aftermath of his breakup with LaPaglia, whose podcast co-hosts Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards released a diss track and music video titled “Smallest Man” Wednesday aimed at Bryan. The song took aim at Bryan’s alleged behavior during his relationship with LaPaglia.
Shortly after its release, the music video was briefly removed from YouTube and Instagram because of a Warner Music Group copyright claim (Bryan is signed to Warner Music Group and did not respond to Rolling Stone’s request for comment), with Portnoy directly blaming Bryan for its disappearance. However, the video has since been reinstated with the copyright-offending portion excised.
