‘What Happened to Justin Bieber?’ How to Watch the New TMZ Documentary Online Free
· Rolling StoneWhat is happening to Justin Bieber? That’s the question that a buzzy new documentary is hoping to answer, as fans continue to speculate on the superstar singer’s next move, both personally and professionally.
TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Justin Bieber? is a new special put together by the celebrity news site’s team of journalists and producers. Streaming now on Hulu, the documentary touches on Bieber’s incredible run of success over the years and tries to decipher why the star is seemingly at a crossroads in his career. As TMZ writes, “Bieber’s rumored drug use, his rocky marriage to Hailey [Bieber], a financial collapse, and his deep ties to a controversial church” have all put the singer back into the spotlight — but for all the wrong reasons.
Though he hasn’t released music since 2021’s Justice, Bieber has been back in the news lately, with new rumored health concerns and allegations of abuse by Diddy (both of which the singer has denied). A scathing article in The Hollywood Reporter also suggested the singer was in “financial distress,” owing millions of dollars to former manager Scooter Braun.
According to TMZ, the new Bieber documentary unpacks a “behind-the-scenes power struggle fueled by money, loyalty, religion, and betrayal,” placing blame on “Justin’s fractured relationship” with Braun, the man who launched his career.
Of course, there has been no proof that Bieber is going through any sort of major trauma or troubles, aside from the kind of soul-searching most celebrities of his caliber seem to undergo every few years. “If you feel sneaky welcome to the club,” the “Love Yourself” singer wrote on Instagram in March. “I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days.”
Bieber also spoke out recently against the intrusive paparazzi in Los Angeles, saying that he won’t allow himself to “get bullied,” though the constant photos and recording “has to stop.”
And then there’s Bieber as a new dad, after welcoming son Jack Blues, last summer. Anyone with a new kid would tell you they’re likely sleep-deprived and somedays, just going through the motions.
