Gonzy Shares Track List for New Album ‘The World Is Yours’

On his upcoming album, Gonzy is singing from the perspective of a villain. On Monday, the musician unveiled the 18-song track list for his third album The World Is Yours via Rolling Stone, and shared new details about the project set to drop on Oct. 10.

“It shows you all the sides of a villain,” the Cuban American star tells Rolling Stone. “In some movies, you might feel bad for them or you might feel happy they’re being attacked, while others sympathize. It depends on what side you see.”

“It’s an album focused on an egotistical person who is vulnerable to every single emotion,” he adds. “So you might like one side and hate the other, but the overall album retains a very villain-esque vibe.”

The album opens with “Gonzalez,” the musician’s own last name, and closes with “Yo Ft. Yo.” He says both tracks are the two “most personal songs I could have possibly made.”

“The intro is a deeper song to do with daily inner thoughts about my personal life and career,” he says. “While the outro is one of those songs that is a reflection of where I’m at today and how I’ve been able to accomplish so much by myself, with pure dedication and blind ambition.”

Other song titles on the album include “Like Por IG,” “Ready Pa’ Foto,” “Instinto Aimal,” and “Musa Eterna.” Gonzy says the album will feature many “very classic instruments” — including lots of strings — and won’t feature as many synths and modern sounds.

“The project is about self-empowerment and not believing in any handouts from other people,” explains Gonzy, adding that he wanted to sonically channel the classic energy of Scarface on the LP. “Whatever your dream is, it’s about working and achieving it by yourself with nobody else’s help. Doing everything for you and those around you.”

The LP will also feature his massive Arcángel and Saiko collab “X’clusivo – Remix,” which has garnered more than 107 million streams since it was released late last year.

The World Is Yours marks the Miami-based third album following the release of Mi Fantasy in 2022 and Desahogo in 2023. Gonzy first made waves with Desahogo‘s funk-infused “La Calma” featuring Oliver Kid. Gonzy also released one-off single “Gonzy Montana” in June.
