Macklemore is set to make his return to the stage in October with a headlining gig at Red Rocks, the iconic open-air amphitheater in Colorado, and ticket prices are surging in the wake of the rapper’s controversial removal from Ed Sheeran’s tour.
Macklemore will take the stage at Red Rocks on Thursday, Oct. 22 for a one-off show that was first announced in March. But while a number of tickets were still available as of early last week, they are now sold out on Ticketmaster, with only resale tickets available (as of this writing).
Tickets to Red Rocks normally start in the $90 range for general admission, but GA prices for Macklemore’s show have risen to $215 on Ticketmaster through their verified resale program, an almost 140% increase.

While the solo Colorado show was always on the calendar, Macklemore was supposed to be on tour opening for Sheeran through November, until the rapper was dropped from the bill on Sept. 14 for making pro-Palestinian comments during a concert in New Jersey earlier in the month.
Fans won’t be able to see the “Same Love” rapper with Sheeran anymore, but they can still find tickets to his Red Rocks Amphitheatre show in October. Ticketmaster was the official ticketing provider, but you can also find Macklemore tickets online through third-party marketplaces and reseller sites, all of which guarantee authentic tickets delivered in time for the show or your money back. Many of the third-party sites have promo codes that you can use to claim a discount too — a decent deal to take advantage of especially as prices keep rising for Macklemore’s big return.

The Red Rocks show is expected to generate a lot of interest, with fans eager to see what Macklemore will say in his first concert since he was dropped from Sheeran’s Loop Tour, after Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft banned the rapper from the venue for making “offensive and hurtful” statements “to the Jewish community.”
Kraft reportedly rallied other stadium owners to do the same thing, leading to Messina Touring Group, the promoter for Sheeran’s Loop Tour, to remove Macklemore from the bill altogether. Opening acts Finneas and Lukas Graham dropped out of the tour shortly afterward in a sign of solidarity with the “Can’t Hold Us” rapper.
