Inheritance tax ‘time bomb’ looms for UK expats and Aussie heirs

Millions of dollars held in UK pensions by British migrants here and Australians who spent time living and working in Britain could lose almost half their value when passed to the next generation after April next year.
Private and workplace pensions in the UK have historically been exempt from the UK’s 40 per cent inheritance tax, making them a popular vehicle for passing on wealth.
