When a nine-metre-long Type A orca appears off the starboard side of our ship one evening during dinner, the world’s hardest-working chef isn’t among the crowd rushing outside for a closer look. When a 25-metre Antarctic blue whale appears portside during breakfast the next morning, he is nowhere to be seen either.
Instead, the world’s hardest-working chef seems to exist entirely within the culinary belly of the Scenic Eclipse, operating in the high-pressure zone between the ship’s endless rows of deep-freeze storage and its 10 distinct dining offerings.
